Welcome to Avatar Miniature Dachshunds!

We are the Schaefers...Michael, Nicola, Garrett, Nicholas, and Kaytlyn!   As a family, we have raised AKC Registered Miniature Dachshunds for a little over two years; however, Nicola has been successfully breeding, raising, and showing Australian Shepherds for almost 15 years.

All of our adults and puppies are raised in our home, underfoot, as members of our family. We strive to produce beautiful, pre-spoiled puppies with outstanding breed-type, correct structure, and loving, playful Doxie temperaments! We are currently breeding for both Smooth and Longhair in traditional Black/Tan and Red, as well as Cream, Chocolate/Tan, Dapple, and Piebald.
